Author, Dan Waddell, is a successful crime fiction writer as well as an expert in amateur genealogy and his advice here is practical and useful. Find out all about your family history – how to start your research, questions to ask, how to decipher old photographs and how to read a census. Laid out in ten easy-to- follow spreads this book will give you an insight into your ancestors’ lives. Including a pull-out family tree chart and a gift notebook for recording your findings, this book is packed with facts, tips and internet links and has everything you could possibly need to become your own family detective. This would make a fantastic present for anyone wanting to pique a child’s interest in their family history – or even to help introduce your children to your own hobby. Recommended.
