Child Star? Part II
I was delighted to come across Six Ensemble Plays for Young Actors.
There really is a lack of interesting ensemble pieces for this age group and I know from my own experience of youth theatre that it can prove quite trying to find something for a large cast that gives everyone equal stage time. All the plays in this collection help each performer grow, giving everyone a chance to play a decent sized part, so they can really get the sense of working on stage in a team and inhabiting a character. Again, this collection also has a good mix of modern and classical pieces and a great introduction by Paul Roseby from the National Youth Theatre.
