About Verbal Magazine

Verbal Magazine "One of the most significant in 20 years"

Launched in January 2007, Verbal is a monthly publication devoted to books, authors, reading and the arts in general. The publication is free of charge and we print and distribute 100,000 copies giving us an extensive circulation across Northern Ireland and a readership of over 200,000. We are a non profit making magazine and work alongside The Arts Council of Northern Ireland. Any profit which is made by the Verbal Magazine is reinvested within groups such as “Adult literacy groups” and “Cross community groups for children”.

The publication is an important showcase for Northern Ireland writers, publishers, poets, critics and everyone involved in the Arts.

Verbal Magazine, Northern Ireland's biggest literary magazine, is looking for contributors. Whether you're interested in writing short stories, poems, books reviews, interviews, articles or features - we want you! Get your writing out there and earn some cash at the same time - what are you waiting for?

Verbal is distributed straight into 100,000 homes across Northern Ireland each month inside the Belfast News, Newsletter and Derry Journal. For details on how to get involved contact editor@verbalartscentre.co.uk or call us on 028 71266946.
